Examples¶
These are small but complete menu bar apps, the kind you could ship as they are. Every page opens with a picture of the app running, then walks through its source a piece at a time, so you see how the parts of nib fit together in something real rather than in isolated snippets. Pick the one closest to what you want to build and start from there.
Apps¶
| Example | Shows |
|---|---|
| Counter | App configuration, reactive text, callbacks, the context menu |
| Todo | TextField input, List and Section, Toggle, rebuilding a list of rows |
| System Monitor | Battery, connectivity and screen services, on_appear refresh, card layout |
| Drawing App | Canvas, pan gestures, perfect-freehand strokes as nib.draw.Polygon |
Feature demos¶
| Example | Shows |
|---|---|
| Navigation | NavigationStack routes, push(), pop_to_root() |
| Voice Waveform | Canvas redrawn from a background thread |
| Drop Zone | on_drop, clipboard, global hotkey, notification |
Run one¶
The sources are in examples/docs/:
nib run examples/docs/app_counter.py
Or save a page's source as main.py and run nib run main.py.
